These people do not care about anyone who rents from them rights but only are interested in their own. Then there is an issue with them charging an exaburant fee each month to park in their overflow parking lot which was wide enough to accomadate every additional car from the renters for free. For instance, a staff member rudely knocked on the door of our trailer at 9:00pm and told us that our dog was off the leash. I wanted to warn others about the very poor way that we were treated while we were staying at Venture Out Resort and I wouldn't even give them one star! We were long term renters and were continually harrassed even when there were not any legitimate complaints to be made. If you have ever enjoyed being in a detention camp this place will suit you just fine!… If you leave town and leave your camper unattended they will be all over it to find a violation so they can call and ruin your time away while threatening with a set time to update the license plate during the Christmas time. ![]() They make you call over and over again in order to ask for the deposit back. They like to hold onto your security deposit as well. They also ask you for a thirty-five dollar deposit to get a mailbox key in which you will never be able to get the money back that is promised to you. When I asked why the park couldn't just ask me for the five dollars later Lance just laughed. The parking has to be paid in advance or your car will wind up being booted. There is only one car per lot and it has to be parked in a certain way which did not make any sense at all. Venture Out can be a very fun place as long as these few extremely nuisance individuals, such as Jennifer and Lance, who love to enforce simple rules very rudely did not work there. A few days after settling in the disappointments began to pore through some of the staff of Venture Out who promised to maintain a sense of professionalism who were plain rude that did not make any sense. I spent the entire school year in this park which consists of a total of nine months. We will be staying there next year, albeit with a different host.… And Venture Out, the facility, grew on us. The canals and channels are deep and great for boats. Now the good! The place is clean, safe and beautiful. Feel free to ask me the name of the unit owner. The owners thought we were " pests" when we pressed for adequate portable AC units. The overflow lot is extra money and you rent the space in advance. We did manage to get a space for the week later that first night, but it was by sheer luck that we did. Your friends and family will also have to park off site. There is an overflow lot but it tends to be full. There is only room for one car to be parked at your rental house. It wasnt a big deal and the storage fees were reasonable, but we wish we would have known in advance. Security has a list of nearby boat storage places. If you will be bringing a boat, there will be no trailer storage. A visitors opinion is likely not about the resort itself but rather about the rental hosts, who tend to be dishonest about the rules.
